Making health a priority

Making health a priority

Abraham Lincoln famously stopped everyone in their tracks about how they viewed life with his well-known words:

“And in the end, it's not the years in your life that count.
It's the life in your years.”

To bring this to life, consider that in the bronze age, life expectancy was 35-40 years of age. Whilst today we’re looking at around 80.9 years in the UK.

The importance of these extra years can be found in Lincoln’s quote.

How do we ensure that we’re able to keep squeezing LIFE changing moments into our extended years?

Health, that’s how.

As our life span has been increasing, so our healthy years have started deteriorating.

We’re living longer, but with increased chronic health issues that stop us from living our best lives.

We walk less, we sit more, we consume food with little to no nutritional value.. and we’re paying a high price for it.

So I would urge you: Use the incredible opportunities that lie ahead in life to guide you.

Make smart measured choices today that align with your health. Make choices today that your future self will thank you for.

As Steven Bartlett is regularly quoted as saying:

“Our dreams, ambitions, experiences, relationships and passions are all contingent on a foundation of good health - without our health, we have nothing.”

Make health a priority, because nobody else can do it for you.

Have a great weekend,

James
